Add Custom Hoods To Your Ride
The hood of your vehicle can really give a high-performance impression. Aftermarket hoods are sleek, light, and full of style. When you replace your standard factory hood with a new, custom hood, you're adding a large piece of high-quality and style to your ride. The carbon fiber or fiberglass material of a custom hood also reduces the overall weight of the vehicle. Custom hoods commonly feature hood scoops or power bulges, which really gives a high-performance impression. A hood can be replaced to give more room to a modified engine, to reduce the weight of the vehicle for racing, or simply to complete that high-performance look. What kind of custom hood is on your ride? Has it made a difference in the performance and appearance of your vehicle? We'd love to hear all about it! Why Add Ground Effects?
If you're experiencing some level of reduced control at high speeds, you may be experiencing the lifting effect of air passing under the body of your vehicle. This lift reduces the contact that the tires have with the surface of the road, which feels like a reduction in control. To help counteract this effect, add ground effects to your vehicle to reduce the space in which air is able to pass under it. When more air is deferred around the vehicle, and not underneath it, the lift effect is reduced almost entirely. In addition to their aerodynamic, performance enhancing properties, your ride will look slick with custom, high-performance ground effects. Adding custom ground effects to your ride will increase your style and make you look like a car expert! Let us know how your ground effects are working for you! Car Tuning - Perfect Your Ride's Performance
For those of us that are into engine tuning, suspension tuning, body tuning, or all of the above, there are car competitions. Whether it's performance racing or auto-body modification shows, tuning competitions are a popular way to display your customized vehicles. Body tuning is done by customizing the high-performance appearance of the vehicle, by adding spoilers or wings, body kits, and scoops. Suspension tuning upgrades the shock absorbers, springs, and swaybars to increase handling. Engine tuning is perhaps the most versatile and complicated category, as many different tuners are looking for different results. Some may tune their engine to increase horsepower or improve fuel economy. Engine tuning also covers air intake systems and exhaust systems, which again can be tuned to improve horsepower, performance, and emissions. Have you entered your modified vehicles into any sort of competitions? We'd like to know how you did! Air Intake Systems - Our Favorite Performance Modification
We think upgrading your air intake system is a great performance modification that can be done to your ride. The intake system is specifically engineered and calibrated to increase the air's velocity as it travels towards the engine. It minimizes turbulence and other air disturbances to maintain a high power output or torque. The air intake system is made up of air filters, throttle bodies, and a flow sensor. Our favorite air intake systems are the cold-air intake systems. By bringing cooler, denser air into the engine, there is a greater power output. If high speed and high performance is what you seek, then you may consider a short ram-air intake, which increases the air volume intake. For best results, make sure the intake piping is nonrestrictive. There are often heat shields used to maintain cool air in the heated engine. Agree? Disagree? Let us know what you feel is the best performance modification possible for an aftermarket high-performance vehicle! Boost The Style Of Your Ride
If you're looking to dramatically boost the style of your car, the first thing you need is a body kit. A body kit makes a big difference in the appearance of the car, giving it a high-performance look. If you don't choose a full body kits, make sure to add-on all other exterior accessories as well. Front and rear bumpers, wings, and side skirts are excellent additions to boost your car's style and highlight your body kit. Remember, interior additions can also be a great finishing touch for your car. Add custom seats, dash mats, and gauges for that extra sparkle of style. Headlights and replacement bulbs can be added for cosmetic reasons, or to increase vision at night. Whatever you decide to do, let us know how you added extreme style to your ride!
